The Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) is funded by the New York State Education Department and Mercy College. The general purpose of STEP is to familiarize secondary school students in the Ossining, Peekskill and Yorktown communities with the opportunities available to them in the scientific, technical, health and health related professions and to encourage them to pursue the education and training necessary to enter these fields.

The Mercy College STEP Program contracted with Technology Users Interface, Inc. to design and host the mercystep.org website.
